Chiropractic Neurology

Chiropractic Neurology is an additional specialization within the Chiropractic field. In order to qualify for this specialization Chiropractic Physicians must complete an additional 3 year course in Neurology that includes academic as well as practical training. The certification is then verified via a written and practical exam administered by the American Chirorpractic Neurology Board. Dr. Aaron Andrews, of PC Wellness Centers, is one of less than 500 certified Chiropractic Neurologists in the entire world. Also, he is Cape Girardeau, Missouri's only Certified Chiropractic Neurologist.

The Chiropractic Nuerology specialization allows practitioners to effectively and safely diagnose as well as treat a number of Neurological Disorders which effect the Central Nervous System (brain, spinal cord, nerves). Chiropractic Neurology differs from Medical Neurology as the first does not utilize invasive treatments (surgeries) or medicine to treat the conditions that are encompassed by this specialization. Dr. Andrews sees patients with a variety of conditions related to the Central Nervous System; Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, restless leg syndrome, ADHD, stroke and traumatic brain injury for example.
